Why Makes South Miffin STEM Academy Outstanding

South Mifflin STEM Academy is a proud member of Columbus City Schools, located on the Northeast side of Columbus in the Brentnell neighborhood. We serve students in grades Pre-K through 6, providing a safe and structured environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth. As a uniform school, our students wear white, light blue, or navy blue tops paired with navy blue bottoms, promoting unity and minimizing distractions so that learning remains the primary focus.

Our academy is committed to a STEM-focused curriculum that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into daily instruction. We believe in engaging families as partners in education, which is why we host annual STEM Night and Literacy Night events. These interactive experiences allow students and families to explore hands-on activities, strengthen literacy skills, and deepen their understanding of STEM concepts. Through these initiatives, we prepare our students to thrive in an ever-changing, technology-driven world.
